I had previously read another one of Hinton's stories, The Outsiders. I began to read this book and immediatly feel in love. It carried the concept on relying on eachother and looking for friends to help you in times of need. Tex is a 14 year old boy who lives with his brother Mason. They are working hard to keep things together but everything is falling apart without their dad at home. My favorite aspect of the story was how much they depended on eachother and loved eachother on the inside, even though things are a bit rough. This is an amazing story and I 100% reccomend reading it!
