Bud, Not Buddy

by Christopher Paul Curtis
Categories: historical, humor
This book is about a young boy who takes a "journey" by himself and makes friends throughout it. He sets out from a Foster Home to find a man who he believes is his father.
This book was AMAZING I definitely could not take this book away, and I HATE READING! It was great. If what I wrote about the book sounded boring to you (maybe because of my word choices) then ignore it. READ this and trust me you must read this book. I always checked it out from the library, but never read it. Right now I am grateful for finally getting to read this wonderful book.

About a boy who was anxious to know who his dad is. The boy is also very poor.
What I liked about the story is he never gave up on trying to find his dad.

This book is about an eleven year old boy who is living during the Great Depression. His mother is dead and his father left when he was a baby. Bud, not Buddy, lived in an orphanage until he was sent to live with a foster family. He runs away after some hilarious encounters and starts on an adventure to find his father.
This is the funniest book I have ever read. I especially suggest listening to it on tape. James Avery, who narrates the book, is a perfect match for this story. This book made me laugh and at the end of the book it made me cry.
