14-year-old Amanda is just about the greatest gymnast of her time until the unthinkable happens, while 15-year-old Dani struggles to just stay alive. Born with her heart on the right side of her chest, Dani finally receives good news when she finally gets a transplant. Writing letters back and forth to the donor family she soon learns her new heart is from Amanda who died from brain damage after a freak accident on the uneven bars.
