The Book Thief

by Markus Zusak
Categories: fantasy, historical
This book is about a young girl in the time of Nazi Germany. The narrator, Death, finds himself attached to this young girl who has a soft-spot for books. Liesel must steal the books because her family cannot afford them. Along the way, Liesel encounters many beautiful and 3-Dish characters that give the story smooth movement along with an interesting plot.
This book is one of my new favorites! It is written so beautifully with provoking thoughts. It is really sad, but I love anyways. At first I thought it would be scary because Death was narrating it, but I found him more funny and sarcastic. You really must read this book!
