Bag of Bones

by Stephen King
Categories: fantasy, horror
This book is about an author named Mike Noonan. His wife Johanna dies from a stroke. Four years later Mike still hasn't gotten over her, and on top of it all he has horrible writer's block. Every time he tries to write he throws up. He finally moves to his summer home, where he hasn't been since his wife died. His cabin is located by Dark Score Lake in Maine. He finds that he can suddenly write again, and starts on a book. He has a run in the day after moving in. He is driving to a restaurant, when he has to brake for a young girl in the middle of the street. She is three years old, and her name is Kyra. Her 21-year-old mother shows up, and Mike talks with her. I won't give away the rest, but I can tell you that Mike's dead wife has a secret about the town where his summer cabin is located, a secret she did not tell Mike.
I think Stephen King is one of the greatest authors of all time. Bag of Bones is definitely top 5 for the best King books I have read. A mixture of horror, romance, suspense and mystery make this a book riveting. I would recommend this book, but only for mature eyes.
