Category: realistic
I can relate to this book. It is true ghetto life. This happens to people every day - people like you and me. A lot of things have happened to me like what happened in this book!
I like this book a lot.

It's basically about the main character, Winter, and her ups and downs. Sister Souljah's words make it seem you're right there with her. This book is good and exciting from beginning to end.
This book is real and one of the best I have read. I read the whole thing in 2 days, I couldn't put it down. You would be stupid not to like this book, it has everything.

Winter has the finer things in life. And in one hot minute everything has changed. The once flashy girl now has to live a life as a person learning how to make it day by day.
The book was a page turner. It took me three days.Sister Souljah really showed people that life isn't a walk in the park. And that good things don't last long.It really surprised me at the end, when she didn't make it.

Winter Santiaga is beautiful, popular among her friends, and spoiled by her father, a drug lord who knows it's his duty to protect his family, and is also an accident waiting to happen. She is the girl many young girls want to be in life. You know, a video-hoe in the making. When tragedy strikes her family, her pops is locked up, and no one else is willing to help. A girl, who is accustomed to the "best", has to figure out how to live a life without it, as though she never had any more than anyone else.
I loved the book. Everything that was said and done was shockingly real. I wouldn't be surprised if it someone's real life story. If there are young girls out there who are misguided by all of the glitz and glitter of the drug game, this is an excellent story to set them straight.

A girl named winter who lives in the projects. Her pops is a big-time drug dealer, Santiaga and this guy named midnight doesn't have any feelings for her but she likes him. Santiaga gets locked up
I didn't like all the cursing but besides that it's a great book about true life.
