The Clique

by Lisi Harrison
Category: realistic
This book is about four girls: Massie Block, Dylan Marvil, Alicia Rivera, and Kristen Gregory. They live in Westchester, New York, and are extremely rich. There life is perfect. That is, until Kuh-laire(What Massie refers to her as) comes along. Claire is from Florida. She is going to live in the Block's guest house until her parents can come up with enough money to buy a house of their own. Claire is not the most popular girl you'll ever meet. In fact, she's the exact opposite of TPC(The Pretty Committee-Massie, Dylan, Alicia and Kristen). She wears overalls, Keds, unfashionable clothing, buys clothing from Gap, Target, and all the places TPC dreads and think of as trash. The book is about how Claire is trying to fit in at their school, and trying ever so hard to become a member of TPC. Will she succeed? Read this great book to find out!!
I thought that this book was ah-mazing. It was one of those books you don't want to put down. I also think I might of liked it more because I'm in seventh grade, like TPC and Claire. I think this is a great book.

Claire Lyons moves from Florida to Westchester, New York and moves into a rich family friend's guesthouse. She then joins the local all-girls school and, in the effort to be popular, she attempts to throw one of the 'in' girls 'out' so that she can be 'in' instead.
I really enjoyed this book because of all of the realistic drama and romance. This was especially good because I am the same age as the main chacters, and can relate.

The book is about a group of popular girls in Middle School and what it is like to be part of the most idolized clique.
I love the whole series. I can't wait for the new movie to come out. And I just found the official Blog site: http://www.theprettycommittee.com It's like reading a mini Clique book. I double dog heart it.

This book is about four popular girls, Massie, Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen, going to an exclusive school and ruling it. Then Claire moves into Massie's guesthouse, and tries to fit in. She befriends a geek named Layne, but strives to be popular. She makes a plan, but if it works, you'll have to find out.
I liked this book and the series because it is about girls my own age, even though they really don't do anything I would be able to do. I like reading about the fights they get into.

This fantastic book is about three stuck up girls of Westchester, New York. The main character, Massie Block, is so stinkin' rich, she has an intercom in her house. She also goes to the really fancy Octavian Country Day School. Her life is perfect until Claire comes a long, a middle-class, overall-wearing girl from Florida. Massie hates her. Read to find out what happens.
This was the best book I have ever read. The girls are cruel and it makes for a great story. A must read.

4 girls, Massie, Dylan, Kristen, and Alicia, who practically own their all girl private school, Octavian Country Day School. Their lives are going great, until-dun dun DUN!-Claire is forced into their lives because of family friends. Now Massie is forced to share her live with Kuh-laire, as Massie says, living in her guesthouse. Their parents really want them to get along and Claire just wants to be in with the Pretty Committee. For Massie that's a fat chance. Not if she has anything to say about it!
I LOVE Harrison's Clique novels. They show the real world with girls, popularity, jealousy, and trickery. Harrison tells the novels so well. The books leave you rooting for the underdog, Claire, and at the same time, biting your nails in shock of what Massie and her Pretty Committee is stirring up!

Massie Block, the leader; Alicia Rivera, Massie's beta and source of good gossip; Dylan Marvil, the red head; and Kristen Gregory, the A+ student who can insult you faster than you can say “My haircut isn't ugly!!" They are called the Pretty Committee at their school, Octavian Country Day School, also known as OCD. Things are going along great, until Claire Lyons shows up. Claire is from Orlando, Florida, and is not considered Pretty Committee material. When the Lyons family stays in the Blocks' guesthouse, Massie's world is turned upside down. Will Claire, a Ked wearing, Gap loving new, ever fit into the Pretty Committee, or will she just have to admire Massie and her crew from afar, like everyone else?
I love these books!!! Even though they are only twelve, they're pretty smart. If you're ever looking for a book to read, these books are "ah-mazing!!" Done, done, and done!:)

Massie Block is the ruler of the Pretty Committee: which is her, Dylan, Alicia, and Kristen. The four of them are the queens of their school. Then comes Claire Lyons, whose family is staying on the Block's estate. Clair is desperate to get into Massie's group and will do anything to be in the Pretty Committee- even if it means throwing Massie out.
This a wonderful book that any girl would like. Even if they aren't exactly like Massie, Dylan, Kristen, Alicia, and Claire, they could totally relate with what these girls are going through. This is the first story of a 4 book series that questions friendship, loyalty, and how far a girl will go for what she wants.

A realistic, modern day book about four incredibly rich girls at the age of twelve who all happen to be part of a clique. Massie Block, the leader, Alicia, the wannabe, Dylan, the "plumb", and Kristen, the A+ student. When Claire, daughter of Mr. Block's long-time friend, stays in Massie's guesthouse for the time being, she's automatically considered non-clique material. But can Claire go beyond the nasty pranks and finally fit in at Octavian Country Day School?
If you're a fan of teen-stories, this is a great book to call upon. It's a page-turning novel that will keep you coming back for more.

Four girls, Massie, Dylan, Alicia, and Kristen, are BFFS. Then Claire Lyons comes along, and to Massie's disappointment, stays in her (Massie's family’s) guesthouse. Claire tries to get into the "Clique", but doesn't have luck. Read it, I'm not telling anymore!!
I loved this book because it made me not want to put it down.

Massie Block: With her glamorous house, brown shiny hair, room, clothes, and friends, Massie is the first in command of The Clique and the whole social cloud at Octavian Country Day School in Westchester County, New York. Dylan Marvil: Massie's second in command, Dylan is the daughter of Merri-Lee Marvil, host of the Daily Grind, a popular talk show. Dylan is your girl for celeb gossip. Alicia Rivera: Alica is member of The Clique. At first glance, Alicia's looks defy her sneaky and rude personality and make her look like a sweet, loving young lady. She would love to take Massie's throne someday. Kristen Gregory: Yet another member of The Clique, Kirsten is the smartest of The Clique. She works hard and is always striving for an A. Claire Lyons: Was forced to move from Orlando, Florida to Westchester and begins to hate it. She wears old Gap overalls and keds, which to The Clique, is not their type. Claire wants to join The Clique, but no way are they letting her!
I loved this book. It is incredibly vivid and realistic, though it seems that these girls must be older than twelve to be this clever. I liked that about it though.

This book is about five girls, living in the rich city of Westchester New York. Massie Block, the teen queen of the seventh graders at Octavian Country Day School, is very rich and gorgeous. Her beta, Alicia Riveria, is a sultry Spanish beauty that could be a model, and she wants to rule 'The Clique'. Kristen Gregory and Dylan Marvil, are both in Massie's group, and Massie is good friends with them, and you see the tension between her and Alicia. Enter Claire Lyons, a blond haired girl from Orlando Florida. In her Gap clothes and Keds, she stands out against the Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Jimmy Choo, and Prada inspired clothes at OCD. Claire tries to join the Clique, but Massie and her gang aren't too sure about that, and will do anything from letting Claire in and risking social suicide.
I loved this book!! Not only is it witty, but it's so true. It's suspenseful too, and you're always wondering what will happen next. I highly recommend it.
